The new General Grabber AT mounting on my Land Rover Freelander 2
255 60 18. Original it is 235 60 18. The bigger and wider tyre fits perfectly.
The drive on asfald is superb. Just a litlle more road noise then my pireli scorpio`s The off road ride will be testet soon.
One simply can't help but notice a striking resemblance between the new General Grabber AT2 and the old venerable . . . well; we'll just call it the "Brand X A/T." At first, we thought it was an exact copycat. However, after a recent trip to General Tire's Uvalde, Texas, proving grounds, where we had one-on-one time with both engineers and R&D officials who developed the Grabber AT2, we were convinced that though the two share aesthetic similarities, the architecture and rubber compound differences-combined with lower retail pricing and a better warranty-tip the scales slightly in favor of the General Grabber AT2.

New shoes General Grabber AT2
Was going to get the Nitto Terra Grapplers, but nobody had them on hand and I wanted them now. Waaaahhh!
The road noise is definitely noticeable at higher speeds, but not as much as you'd expect... can't wait to try a few trails. I came from some worn out Nexen Roadian HP's, so these are a huge step up in terms of wheeling.
In case anyone wants to know what the 255/55/18 look like - here are some pics. If anyone wants to know what they cost... don't ask.
Now, let's get her dirty!
