When I first introduced this cup to my 10 month old daughter, she didn't take to it very well. I tried using the cup to see how hard it would be. It's a little difficult, you have to bite the straw and suck at the same time. It takes some getting used to. We tried for about a month, then bought some playtex first sipster straw cups. She didn't like those at all. I bought more NUK sippy cups and those lasted a little while. Then, I brought out the Nuby straw cups again. And she loves them now! Which is great because the playtex straw cups spill milk all over the place as the milk warms up at room temperature. So, if you set the playtex cup out and forget about it for like 10 minutes, there is a puddle of liquid. Not cool. These Nuby straw cups don't leak at all and won't leak out even with the straw up. So, although it took a little while for my daughter to caught on, it's a good cup. I will buy the bigger version in a few months.
Nuby Straw Cup is designed to fit small fingers and helps prevent leaks and spills. It has a soft and flexible straw to provide a natural sipping experience and is gentle on baby's gums and teeth. The bottle has a unique, curved shape to provide a natural grip, and the ergonomic shape makes it easy to hold.
I absolutely love the Nuby straw cups. They don’t leak and it’s super easy for my 14 month to handle. Even the Nuby sippy cups are great! However, I did not have as much luck with the Nuby flip-it. It leaked all over the place and soaked my entire purse (contents and all!!!). Needless to say, it sitting on top of my refrigerator. … and I immediately bought more Nuby straw cups!
My son has been using the Nuby straw cup for quite some time and I have no complaints….your review is spot on! I will have to try the Flip it version now, thanks for the recommendations. Another sippy I have been pleased with is the Nuk brand sippys. Not sure which style but it looks very similar to the playtex cup above, only its not insulated.
